I received this Pizza oven as a gift, had 18 people over last night to celebrate holidays and make fresh pizzas, everything stuck to oven, top was burned, we ended up cooking pizza in the house. Very Disappointed ! And Embarrassed was supposed to be a fun night turned out to a fail, but on the upside, it will be a memory of the horrible pizzas we all tried to make and we will laugh and be happy we enjoyed the time together. Just wish it would have been talking about how great they tasted.
I had considered buying an Ooni product originally about a year ago. I had a question and used their chat feature to ask and I never heard from them. So, purely on principle, I scratched them off my list and bought a Breville Pizzaiolo instead. That has worked great. The only reason I started to look to the Mimiuio was that it appeared that the recovery time was faster to bake the pizzas AND-and the rotisserie feature. One of the primary appeals to these ovens was to cook pizzas for my shop employees. I can say enthusiastically that the Mimiuio has worked out great. Highly recommended. As pointed out in some reviews, after waiting for the oven to get to 800+F, turn the gas control knob to the lowest setting. It will take a little longer to "roast" nicely and you can try raising the gas flow until you find an acceptable setting. I made my first pizza on the highest volume and it actually caught on fire. No biggie, I just pulled it out and it was a matter of trying different settings. No problems after that. Start at the lowest point and go up from there. A good pointer is to hold the igniter knob down as you turn until the click is heard. I did not do that at first and it failed to ignite.. I went to the manual and it was stated there. You know, if it all fails, read the instructions. Dah!It is great to see the pies fluff up as they spin, right before your eyes. The Pizzaiolo does the same, but behind the glass. It is more impressive seeing it in the open.As fast as these types of ovens bake, I can't imagine dealing with a non-rotating stone. Totally worth the extra cost. The pies have to be rotated a couple of times in the pizzaiolo as well. We simply use some tongs as the stone comes forward when the door is opened. It is easier to load the pizzas as well, because of this. So, the rotisserie function RULES! Hopefully, it will work for a long time.
Did a lot of research and comparing other ovens prior to buying this pizza oven and I have to say this was a good buy! Does the same thing the big brand names do at a fraction of the cost. Its a learning process to use it and make pizzas that come out good. My second time using it was much better than the first! We made 7 pizzas the second time and every one came out amazing! Make sure you heat the stone up prior to cooking each pizza, and when you put the pizza in the oven turn the flame to low to prevent the crust from burning.
Wonderful
Great oven , even heat and fantastic Neapolitan Pizza !
I love my pizza oven. Great for kids to make their own pizza then cook it for them. Great for patio
Then of the best, the rotatory plate is the maximum
I can't imagine getting the one that doesn't rotate,
No chimney or door necessary. Fast pizza maker when temp is reached after about 15 minutes. Pizza is done in no more than 90 seconds.
This pizza oven was ready to go right out of the box. We opened it up and made our first couple of pizzas. No learning curve, it’s easy to use and figure out how to make the pizza the way we like it.
Pizza tasted pretty good. But burnt the heck out of the crust. Need to figure out a fine medium! Use a pre-made crust for sure. Rising dough crust is almost impossible to get on the brick, it made a huge mess!
I've been very pleased with the oven overall, impressive heat and cooks things with blistering hot heat.
Love this over. Everything works and functions as designed. The rotating table puts this over above it's competitors. No need to pull you pizza out for rotating.Con- Perhaps 2" wider with a bigger rotating table. It's not an issue but I would like more room to launch the pizza into oven.
Great answer for a pizza oven without the expense or bother of a traditional ceramic wood fired oven. Pizzas cook in less than a minute so it works perfectly to feed a crowd with make your own pizzas. Great for summer parties. Opened the box, hooked up a tank, and started making pizzas. Best pizzas ever!
It honestly works great once you learn how to cook pizzas at 700 F. The key is get the stone to 600-700F with the burner on high then put the burner as low as possible just before putting in the pizza.
Oven worked great for a few months until it stopped lighting. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one. Can’t really beat that.
I’ve used this in the mountains and at home. Keep your eye on things because it goes fast. Perfect for the home cook. I love it. Just make sure you use a heat resistant table.
I couldnt believe how good this pizza looked coming out of the box. Beautifully built and well made. Lighting is easy and honestly its great on propane use. Takes about 15-20 minutes to fully hear the baking stone but if youre impatient, it melts the cheese almost immediately. Only drawback is the pilot will blow out if very windy. Otherwise very manageable.
Works awesome a great way to have fun on the back deck!!!!!
I had been looking at this and OONI for a long time. The rotating stone sold me as I thought it was a real pain to rotate every 20 sec or so. Received the machine and it was 30 degrees out. Wondered how it would heat in cold weather. Got up to 930 in 20 min. First try at 930 on stone and turning down heat to about 30%- great pizza in 60 seconds. I will experiment with temps but am impressed. Real easy to use
This is an Impressive quality propane pizza oven.1. Portable and easy to set up. The three legs fold out. Set the pizza stone (included in package) and holder in the oven. Attach your propane tank. Plug in the cord to rotate your pizza stone. Easy to ignite controller--just like a grill. Let it heat up for at least 10-15 minutes.2. Fast. Insert pizza utilizing the included pizza peel. (The pizza peel assembles without tools). In 60 seconds or less, the pizza is done. This redefines fast food. Works great for making personal pizzas. Also tried frozen pizzas, and they taste great, too. The crust tastes amazing. Keep the diameter of the pizza to 10-12 inches. Any larger and the edges burn. Doesn't taste like oven burned pizza, though. In the words of my family taste testers, the burned edge tasted "artistically charred." We think that because it rotates through the flame, the edges don't taste that bad even if you accidentally make your pizza too large.3. Lightweight, compact, and stores easily. The table top design works great to move and store easily. Included in the package is an outdoor cover.4. Reasonably priced. We didn't wan to pay thousands for a family outdoor pizza oven. This makes great pizza at an affordable price. This outdoor oven makes cooking outdoor pizza easy, fun, and tasty. We also want to try finishing Sous Vide steaks and heating wraps and fajitas.
The first pizza did not turn out quote right, the second was kinda burnt, but the 3rd time was top tear pizza! It is hard to get the hang of it. Heat up the stone to 500+ lower the flame then put the pizza in. Having a high flame will cause the pizza to burn outside. I love this thing!

Easy to setup, easy to use, I would not order an oven without the turntable
Half the cost of the big oven company, it has a rotating stone, a cover and a peel included. The stone means you dont have to keep pulling and rotating the pizza for an even bake. A Huge huge plus! Be advised, there is a learning curve. I use doughballs purchased from a local market and pizzeria. I was struggling with getting a fully cooked crust in the center. I cut off 1 to 2 ounces of dough and bingo! Perfect! That extra dough now becomes garlic cheese sticks, win! My advice: Experiment until you get the correct thickness for a 10-11" pizza. Buy the spiked pizza roller for air bubbles, they're awesome). Turn the oven to low when putting a pie in and set timer for 90 seconds. Then set back to high for a couple minutes before the next one. Also, theres hundreds of instructional videos online on everything from making/stretching dough to adding correct amount of toppings.. watch some!Edit: some people are having issues with the igniter, after the "click" i hold down the knob for a few seconds, works every time.
Very fun and easy to use. Definitely a learning curve to cooking the perfect crust.
First time working a gas pizza oven works great doesnt take long to heat up unlike my old pizza oven that took hours to heat up to using wood
Been using this for about two months now and I've loved it since day 1! I make pizza every weekend now with friends!Turn it on and let it heat at max for about 15 minutes. Don't forget to turn on the rotating mechanism at this time! An IR thermometer gun will be handy if you want to dial it in, but I just use mine to make sure the temp is hot enough. Usually after 12-15 minutes the stone is reading around 850+I dust the included peel with coarse corn meal, don't go too overboard or it'll result in a burnt taste in the end!For my doughs I use either bread flour or 00 flour, hydration is usually around 65%. Dough balls are around 250-275g.When I put the pizza in, I turn the gas down to about 70% and it's done in about 60-70 seconds! Let cool for a minute, slice, and enjoy!Pictures are of a brisket pizza (75/25 tomatoes to bbq sauce and a mix of mozzarella and smoked provolone), basic pepperoni, and a pesto sauce with sliced Roma tomatoes.
Our go to for dinner 2 nights a week!! If your thinking about getting one JUST DO IT
